Combining traditional elements of merengue, rumba, and son with experimental jazz and quirky rock, The Rare Bird Rumba Ranch has developed a style all its own.  Drawing from the varied backgrounds of its members, the Ranch is at times a musical avalanche, at others a minimalist dance party, while at others an exploration into the dark recesses of the mind.  Songs are sung, percussion is whacked, people move, and short, original poems are recited.  The drummer writes the music and leads the band and those attending the live shows are left with a happy, energized feeling.

Based in NYC, the Birds include Greg Stare on conga kit and lead vocals, Micha�l Attias on alto saxophone, Josh Camp on accordion, Taylor Bergren-Chrisman on electric bass.
